So if I asked you how you relax..and how often what would your answer be ? Once a week..a month..can’t remember ?
Stress is responsible for 75% of all illness! Thats huge and the effects of stress are far reaching, get stressed and by proxy those close to you are too.
We all have stress in our lives, it is pretty unavoidable BUT we need to be able to cope with it effectively so that it does not start to affect our health. It is also advisable to pay particular attention to the things in our lives that cause us stress and reduce our exposure accordingly.
I’d like to ask you this question - ” How do you relax, what do you do and how often”
Please do leave me your comments..I’d love to get as much feedback on this as possible.
I’ll kick off by answering – Everyday I make sure that I have peaceful mealtimes – that means sitting down and eating my food slowly. I make food a social occasion every day, it is an event in our household, we sit down together and talk over our day.
I also make time for knitting – this is a little therapy for me everyday.
Monthly, I have Reflexology and Massage.
I catch up with friends and my family frequently – talking to loved ones is fabulous support and stress relief
I exercise everyday – power walking with my pedometer and training with my PT ( BeaActive)
I read ..I love to read ..I always have essential oils burning, my favourite scents include ylang ylang, neroli and lavendar.
